Therapy Works coming to WRTS!

We Rock The Spectrum Lake Charles is SUPER excited to announce our partnership with Therapy Works of SWLA! Therapy Works provides therapy and wellness services and will start with offering Handwriting Camps in June! Kim Solari and Ratna Patel are excited to share their new venture, Therapy Works of SWLA, with our community. Using their individual 30+ years of professional experience, Kim and Ratna plan to provide family/child centered, evidence-based, and current state of the art, occupational, physical and speech therapy for children of all ages and diagnoses in the greater Lake Charles area. To get a better understanding of how amazing these two women are, here are their backgrounds we wanted to share with you!

Kim Solari, LOTR holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Oklahoma. While living in Dallas, Tx, Kim established Solari Pediatric Outpatient Therapy Services, which she operated for 14 years. SPOTS continues to run as a private pediatric clinic. Kim served as a member of the advisory panel to TWU-Dallas OT student admission board. She is certified in the S.O.S. Oral Sensory Approach to Feeding developed by Dr. Kay Toomey, the Sensory Integration and Praxis Test (SIPT), Therapeutic Listening and Integrative Listening System, Interactive Metronome and The Print Tool by Handwriting Without Tears. Kim has also completed the Level 1 Intensive Mentorship through the SPD Foundation. She was instrumental in developing a feeding program and handwriting camp at SNC. Kim’s approach to therapy is a product of her wide range of experience. Her areas of experience include helping all children with developmental, sensory processing and feeding issues improve their functional skills and independence. Ratna completed her Master’s degree in Developmental Disabilities from NYU and DPT from ATSU, Arizona. Among other trainings, Ratna has completed an 8-week NDT certification course as well as training/certification in SI, orthotics, TMR, Brain Gym, and MFR. Ratna is passionate about helping children develop independent functional movement skills using many evidence-based treatment tools and methods. She has worked in a variety of environments including private clinics, the public schools, early intervention as well as several pediatric hospital settings including NICU, inpatient and outpatient clinics. Ratna has been privileged to work in diverse geographical locations including Massachusetts, New York, India and Lake Charles, LA.
